We have always had Golden Retrievers. Whilst they are are beautiful, gentle dogs, they are also big and strong dogs. We have an 8 month old very big, strong boy. He is extremely gentle and fantastic with all people including children but when on a normal lead, attached to his harness he pulls so much and we already have a shock lead (which is fantastic) but we needed something which specifically focused on training him whilst on the lead. We went into Slickers and spoke to Caroline who recommended this lead. Initially, we were concerned as we didn’t want a lead that went around our dogs throat. She assured us that this lead does not go around the dogs throat but under the chin and is RSPCA approved. We bought the lead and it is the best dog purchase we have ever made, and we have had 4 Golden Retrievers in our life time. Our dog was initially unsure of the lead on his nose but within 10 mins he was walking perfectly fine with it on. The lead has transformed our walking experience with our young boy. It is an incredible lead, he immediately stopped pulling, we were amazed. Our 10 year old girl walked him on the lead for most of the holiday and she loved it and Chester loved his walks on the lead. He was calm, walked gently by her side and didn’t pull. We cannot recommend this lead enough. Thank you so much.
